Artwork Knowledge

Please ensure that all fonts are outlined prior to uploading your file. If you are using Photoshop, provide a flattened file only.

Ensure your artwork matches the size requested on the order. Do not include any bleed or crop marks, as we are not responsible for printing these.

1. Raster-Based Artwork (e.g., Photos, Flattened Artwork from Adobe Photoshop):

   - Raster artwork is made up of tiny squares (pixels).

   - Ensure a high enough resolution (DPI) to avoid low-quality results, especially for large format products.

2. Vector-Based Artwork (e.g., Illustrations, Clip-Art from Adobe Illustrator):

   - Vector artwork is created with mathematical calculations and can be scaled to any size without losing quality.

   - Note that effects in Adobe Illustrator (e.g., drop shadows, glows) are raster-based and involve transparency, which increases file size.

3. Document Raster Effects Settings:

   - Proper settings are crucial for the best output of raster effects.

   - For example, for a photo-quality print on a 36" x 48" poster, if raster effects settings are left at the default 72 DPI, you may see pixelation (tiny squares) in effects like drop shadows instead of smooth transitions.


To ensure the best quality for your large format product, verify that your resolution settings are appropriate for the final output size.

1. Flatten and Outline Requirements:

   - Flatten all objects, gradients, swatches, symbols, special effects, and transparencies.

   - Outline all text.

   - Ensure all objects are embedded and flattened (we do not print non-native art).

2. File Formats:

   - Acceptable formats are flattened PDF (single page) or JPEG.

   - For files created in InDesign, please flatten in Illustrator or Photoshop and export as JPEG only.

3. Crop Marks and Bleeds:

   - Remove all crop marks and bleed areas; otherwise, they will be printed.

4. File Size and Resolution:

   - Files must be the exact size as ordered (exceptions for gallery wrap fold edges and products with templates).

   - Use CMYK color mode only (we do not print Pantone, 5th color, spot colors, or RGB).

   - Maintain a resolution of 150 dpi.

   - Files over 200 inches can be scaled.

   - Ensure file size is under 300 MB for upload.

5. Template Guidelines:

   - If using a template, the file uploaded must match the exact template size, not the graphic size.

   - Do not scale template files; simply flatten and save them at 150 dpi.

   - Remove everything from your file that you do not want printed, including hidden layers and template guidelines.

6. Transparency and Compound Paths:

   - If using compound paths to create transparencies or shapes, rasterize or flatten them into the file to avoid printing issues.

Please ensure all specifications are met to avoid any issues with your final printed product.

We do not do color match.

We print exclusively using the 4-color process (CMYK). If your artwork includes spot or Pantone colors, please convert them to process colors before uploading your file.


We do not print white ink. 

Turnaround Time:

- Turnaround time begins once your file is uploaded.

- If your uploaded file have any issues like size doesn't match, file type issue, unable to open, the turnaround time will begin once re-uploaded file is received.

- All turnaround times are based on normal business days, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. This does not include shipping time.

Shipping:

- If an order is uploaded on a business day before 6 noon PST, it will be shipped the following business day. If there is a problem with the file, it won't be shipped the next day.

Store Pick-up:

- If an order is uploaded on a business day before 6 noon PST, it will be available for pick-up the following business day after 3:30 p.m. PST. If there is a problem with the file, it won't be ready for pick-up the next day. You will receive an email notification if the order is ready earlier.


Same Day Order:

Shipping Orders:

- If an order is uploaded on a business day before 12 noon PST, it will be shipped the same day. If there is a problem with the file, it won't be shipped until the next day.

Store Pick-up:

- If an order is uploaded on a business day before 12 noon PST, it will be available for pick-up the same day after 4:00 p.m. PST. If there is a problem with the file, it won't be ready for pick-up the same day. You will receive an email notification if the order is ready earlier.

6Sign assumes no obligation to proof or review the content or layout of your order. Even if a customer service representative has inquired about attributes of a previous order, you should not assume that 6Sign will review subsequent orders. Orders are printed exactly as submitted, and it is the customer's responsibility to verify and approve the final proof and layout before submission.


Proof and Layout Verification:

- 6Sign does not make changes to customer files. By submitting an order, you confirm that you are fully satisfied with the document layout and content, and you accept responsibility for any errors.

- 6Sign will assume that you have verified spelling, grammar, content, layout, and other elements. We do not accept liability for errors such as misspellings, grammar issues, damaged fonts, punctuation mistakes, transparency issues, overprints, improper layout, die lines, or sizing errors.

Proof Requests:

-We do not provide any proofs, if you need to check the colors, you can order a mininum piece of the product.

Unfortunately, we cannot modify the size details of your order. Please cancel your existing order and place a new order with the desired size.

Due to the nature of large format printing, where factors such as print heating, drying, and media roll advancement can affect the final product, we cannot guarantee exact dimensions for your banner. As a result, you may receive a banner that is slightly shorter in length than specified.

An order can be canceled at any time before it enters production. To cancel, please send us an email or call us at 626-461-2655 for cancel.

Reporting Issues:

- Any issues with your order must be reported within 7 business days after the delivery date. Please call us for assistance. If you do not contact us within this timeframe, we will assume the job was correct upon receipt.


Refunds, Returns, and Reprints:

- As a wholesale manufacturer, we do not accept returns for refunds.

- Orders that are refused at delivery or undeliverable will be reshipped at the customer’s expense if requested.

- Orders lost, delayed, or returned to us due to an error in the shipping address provided by the customer will incur additional shipping charges for reshipment.

- Delays in production or shipping due to customer-provided inaccurate information will not qualify for a refund or reprint.

- Delays caused by shipping company issues, acts of God, weather conditions, customs issues, or other circumstances beyond our control are not grounds for a refund or reprint.

- Errors in files uploaded by customers (e.g., misspellings, incorrect graphics, grammar issues, damaged fonts, or wrong artwork size) do not qualify for reprints or refunds.

- Products with fuzzy, pixelated, or distorted images due to artwork being below the minimum resolution of 150 DPI at 100% and/or not in CMYK mode are not eligible for reprints or refunds.

- 6Sign does not guarantee color matching or ink density as specified by the customer.

- Orders duplicated due to customer error are not eligible for refunds or reprints.

- Orders canceled after entering production (or any subsequent process) are non-refundable.

- Orders with dated materials arriving after the relevant date or with insufficient time to use as intended are the customer's responsibility to manage timing.

- We are not liable for failure to notify you of delays, losses, or damages related to your printed products or shipment, or inaccuracies in such notices.
